We are excited to invite you to our upcoming series of events, Speak Up Saturdays! We will be kicking the tour off with two new events, made by self advocates for self advocates, You Are NOT Alone! All About Trauma and All About Wellness. The all day event is free to attend. To make your experience even more enjoyable, we will be providing free lunch and refreshments at each event. This will give you a chance to network with fellow self advocates and/or allies, share experiences, and build a supportive community The events will be held in a fully accessible location on July 29th at Mount Ararat Baptist Church, 271 Paulson Ave., Pittsburgh PA 15206 To register: Online at sau1.me/speakupsaturdays or through Carla at 814 201 6061 or Y2FybGEgfCBzYXUxICEgb3Jn. How do we know if we have trauma? What can we do about it? Let's learn all about trauma together. Let's make our own plans on what we can do about trauma. All About Wellness: What does wellness look like for you? How can you make a plan for your own wellness? What supports are out there to help with our wellness? Let's learn from each other and move forward with our own wellness plan. We look forward to having you join us at "Speak Up Saturdays" as we strive to support the self advocacy of people with disabilities for positive impact in our communities and in people’s lives. Together, we are creating a more inclusive, empowered, and supportive community. We will see you there, Self Advocates Unites As 1 P.S. It would really help us and the self advocate community if you could forward this email and spread the word to those that you believe would be interested in attending.
