TasteBuds is where the city’s top chefs team up with incredible individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to serve up their signature dishes, with a side of friendship and heart.

Sensory Sensitive Science Hours are held on select Sunday mornings, and sensory sensitive events are held on select days throughout the year. Exhibit lights and sound effects are adjusted and special hands-on activities are added to foster a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.

In 2025, the PLDIC Community Building Committee targeted its Brave Space/Self-Care Series for attorneys and law students with disabilities and their allies. Based on participant feedback from these sessions, we are starting a monthly zoom drop in series for this community.

January is filled with free educational webinar opportunities from Inglis' Self Determination Housing of Pennyslvania! From Eviction Prevention and Process, to Assistance Animals Explained, to Home Modifications and more - all of these webinars are free and open to the public!
